I was given an iTunes gift card for Christmas, and I always enjoy the gift of music, especially when I can pick and choose the songs I want. However, over the last few weeks of using the card here and there, I have experienced some errors. I didn’t get songs that I paid for. I wrote iTunes, but got no refund, no help, and I am just about over them. There are plenty of other places to get music online, and often it’s a penny or two cheaper. And I am tired of paying for music I’m not getting, even if it is with a gift card.
I spend more time trying to get the music that I already have paid for than I would going to another site and getting it there. The main reason I purchase from iTunes is convenience, but if they’re stiffing me a dollar here and a dollar there, that convenience isn’t all that convenient, is it. I’m tired of going through hoops to get the things I should already have!!!
Whew, that feels better.
You know, I think a lot of us live our lives like this. We know we want more out of life, and we feel like there should be some place to get it. But no matter what we try, we can’t seem to get any answers, so eventually some of us even stop searching. The truth is, that thing we’re searching for isn’t a momentary high or a new car, but it’s a God who loves us very much and wants a relationship with us. We wear ourselves out searching for things that don’t give us what we really want, and we get tired of searching for something we think we should already have. We can have it if we stop our searching and just let God be God in our lives.
