It's 3am

There’s an old song from the 1900’s that says “its 3:00 am, I must be lonely.”  Well, I don’t know about you, but for me loneliness is not what forces me to see 3:00 am, its parenthood.  We have a new baby at our house, and that means extra work, sleepless nights, and the age old question “is she crying because she has gas?”

And while it’s easy to complain about the trying things, there are so many wonderful things.  First of all, she’s got that “new baby smell” which I have missed.  I think it’s like a mixture of Dreft and spit-up, but I love it.  And there’s all the great cuddle time.  Plus, at this age the diapers don’t really smell yet, so that’s a bonus!

With babies we know there are some tough things, but the truth is we are so overwhelmed by the positives that we know they are worth it.  I wish we could all be more like that in the other aspects of our lives as well.  I want this blog to be a source of positive energy, and I want to spread that positive thinking to others.  Let’s remember all the ways God has blessed us, all of the things that He has done or has given to us, and focus on them.  That way, when we go through the tough stuff that everyone has to face, we can remember that it’s worth it.
