And while it’s harder
to make her laugh, it is much more rewarding.
I love nothing more than hearing her crack up over something I’ve
said. It makes me feel so great because
I know that it’s not some kind of courtesy laugh, she really appreciates my
sense of humor. She understood the reference
or noticed the wit, and it struck her as genuinely funny. There is no person that I want to make laugh
more than her.
I think that God
laughs, not at us but with us. Our lives
can inspire joy in Him; in fact that is what we were created to do. In the way that I seek to make my wife laugh,
I want to do the same with God. I want
my life to make God smile. I want to
share my joy with Him. I want to make
the kind of choices today that allow us to laugh together because of the great
relationship that we can have.
