Infinity and Beyond

For all my video game loving students (and adult readers who also like a game or two) our family recently picked up a new one.  As a family that also loves Disney, the release of “Disney Infinity” this month was one that we were excited about.  It is like Skylanders only with Disney, and it is something that my whole family can play.

I think the most fun thing about it is collecting the figures.  Each new figure unlocks new elements in the game.  On the outside they may look just like a simple toy, but when connected to the game they are infinitely increased in their value.
Many of us feel like we don’t have a lot of value ourselves.  Our own failures make us feel like our lives and simple, dull, and often worthless.  But that is not true.   Just like those figures, while we may have little value on our own, when connected to the God who created us and loves us, we take on infinitely more value because we have the Spirit living inside us.  We don’t have to feel alone or like we don’t matter.  In fact, we matter so much that Jesus was willing to die to connect us with Himself.  If this doesn’t make you feel valuable, nothing will.
